With a compact, counterbalanced, DOHC cylinder head, a 11.3:1 compression ratio and dry-sump lubrication, the YXZ1000R offers exceptional power and durability.

• Industry-Exclusive Six-Speed Manual Transmission

The industry's only six-speed manual transmission is optimized for performance in both high- and low-speed situations. A durable clutch delivers greater confidence during operation, while simultaneously improving driver comfort at slower speeds.

• Yamaha's Exclusive On-Command® 4WD System

Providing 2WD, 4WD limited slip, and 4WD with full-differential lock, the driver controlled system offers predictable gear-engagement, along with consistent steering and handling, eliminating hesitation. The YXZ1000R's automotive style On-Command dial is intuitive and conveniently located on the center console.

• Ergonomics Built for Performance

The YXZ1000R cockpit provides a balance of comfort and control with both the driver's seat and steering wheel adjustability to ensure the perfect fit. The cab features plush, high-back seats with extra lateral support and outside shoulder bolsters. Shaped floorboards supply generous legroom while still giving a planted feel.

• Supersport-Style Dashboard

Dash instruments draw inspiration from Yamaha's high-performance Supersport motorcycles. Functions include a digital speedometer, analog tachometer, programmable shift light, and readouts for 4WD mode, gear position, fuel level, trip meters, hour meter, coolant temperature warning and a clock.

• Plush FOX® Suspension

The YXZ1000R features FOX® 2.5 Podium® RC2 shocks with dual-spring-rate adjustable crossovers. All four corners are fully adjustable spring preload, crossover adjustment, rebound and both high- and low-speed compression damping with a huge 16.2 inches of front travel and 17.0 inches at the rear, along with exceptional ride quality, tuneability, and handling.
